Look it's an energy bar; it's a protein bar; no! It's a CLIF BAR

I know the title maybe a tad bit confusing but this delicious contraption is confusing me. Hahah. My dear friend, Trisha, pointed out these bars on my last trip to the commissary & I was a bit hesitant to snatch one up so I passed. Man am I kicking myself in the butt for waiting so long!

I ended up at Target yesterday with my good friend Kristyn (side note: check out her blog: http://scatteredus.wordpress.com) - surprise surprise I ended up at target. But hey! I was a good girl... I only spent $19 ... But I digress ^.^;; - & I grabbed a box of the white chocolate macadamia nut CLIF bars. They were on sale (?? I think ??) for $5 for a box of 6. That breaks down to roughly 83cents a bar... Not too shabby.

The texture, to me, is like a mix of those Special K cereal bars & a nutrigrain bar; not to hard & not too chewy. I brought the whole box with me on our errands today & on my trip out the door, I see my darling husband chowing down on one... Without me! & even before I got a chance to have one! RUDE! Haha. Anyway, before I even opened my bar I broke one in half for J & H.

I did ask my darling husband what he thought & his (exact) words were "F***ing amazing!" - he's a sailor... Please excuse the mouth. My kiddos (H being 4 & J being 3) are both OBSESSED with 'em & think they're candy bars. Oh my children, I'm glad you think something good for you is candy. ^.^

My thoughts? They're amazing!! Not too chewy, not too hard, & really not that sweet. I still can't figure out if it's an energy bar, a protein bar, or a meal replacement bar. The nutritional facts aren't that bad either.

The only thing I didn't like about these bars was that they left a a weird gritty, starchy feeling on the roof of my mouth. Nothing too big to worry about. Have you tried these CLIF bars or any other flavors? If so, which should I try next?

& before I go, here is a photo of all of us eating a delicious CLIF.
