It has been quite some time since I've posted anything or made a video but life has been fairly crazy... & then I just got lazy & unmotivated. >.< dontjudgeme. So basically, I have decided that this year, 2014, is going to be for ME. Now, I know what you're thinking (I have ESPN or something, dontcha know?), that's very very selfish & I should not do that. Right? Oh.. You were thinking of cupcakes? Oops. ^.^; Well, my loverlies, therapy has taught me that a: it is NOT selfish to better myself before I worry about others & b: I am naturally a people pleasing person & will neglect myself to make others happy... That in itself is no bueno when I have 2 small children & a husband at home who start to feel my grumpy wrath because (as the old saying goes) "if momma ain't happy, ain't no body happy".
So that brings me to the title of this post: #2014resolutionsinhighgear. It means just that.. Everything I want for this year WILL happen. NO ONE will stand in my way. Yah know, it's actually quite liberating only caring about what makes myself, my littles, & husband think. If you're a people pleaser like me, I PROMISE you, the world is not going to end if you worry about nĂºmero uno before anyone else. You can't make people happy unless you're happy because there will always be someone trying to bring you down.

But I digress... My resolutions/goals/plan of attack are as follows...

• BE HEALTHY :: in mind, body, & spirit. I joined 10 gym (a local gym in Oklahoma) & had a free personal trainer session. I told my trainer what my goals were (I want to weigh what I did prepgregnancy • be happy in my own skin • be able to run the "Run or Due 5k"), he showed me a routine that I could incorporate with whatever cardio I chose to do, & now I'm taking that routine & I'm running with it. My motivation to be better, not only for me but my kids, is striving me to push harder & go farther. On days I can't make it to an exercise class (Mon & Wed morning: yoga • Mon night: dance fusion • Tues, Thurs, & Sat morning: Zumba • Tues & Thurs night: yoga/Pilates & Zumba • Wed night: Zumba • Sat morning: yoga/Pilates), I do 20-45min of a 5k training program (I use the app "Couch to 5k" to help)... I know looking at the class schedule it seems like I live at the gym... Promise you I don't. Those are just the classes I generally try to take.. It all depends on my work schedule. I'm also watching what I eat & trying to stay away from soda (so far, I'm doing okay.. I limit myself to 1 cup a day; 2 if I'm overly tired at work). You'll be seeing my IG feed fill up with exercise & fitness posts. ^.^;
• BE MORE ACTIVE ON YOUTUBE/TWITTER/FB FOR JUSTAGIRL :: this is pretty self explainatory. Haha. I want to et back in the swing of things with reviews & maybe eventually go to IMATS (maybe next year...) I want at least one - two posts on YouTube a week (if I can swing more, AWESOME!) & at least one VLOG a week on my VLOG channel (NavyWifeLifeVLOGS). Wish me luck! Haha.
• MAKE MY SOAPING BUSINESS GROOOOOW! :: I've owned Lace & Cupcakes for just under a year (under this name.. It was Lucky 107 from 2010-2012) & I feel like I've been neglecting my baby. I need to make her grow & prosper & eventually I won't have to work for anyone but myself. (: <-- ultimate goal right there!
