Good morning cupcakes! Yesterday I posted this weeks Plan with Me & they are MINIONSSSSSSS!! With the minions movie launching TODAY!! I wanted to dedicated my whole week to these adorable little guys. Because, lets be honest, if you saw this weeks #ManiMonday you can totally tell I am really a 5 year old. Hahaha.

I am so sorry for the ridiculously late posting of this Plan with Me! The holiday weeks are always hectic & I was feeling a little under the weather. I hope everyone had a safe & happy holiday & hope you enjoyed this edition of my Plan with Me.
I have never been one to decorate my monthly spread but I felt compelled to decorate for the month of July! I like the way this turned out, & I hope you do too!
I am happy to say that I am the proud owner of the elusive Erin Condren Rose Gold 2016 Life Planner... in vertical. I first got my EC April 23rd, 2015 & you can see the general inside look in my unboxing video that I filmed back then:
This year, Erin has launched some changes to their vertical planners as well as introducing the horizontal planner (which I do not have but you can look at Kayla of Microscope Beauty video here -- let her know I sent yah!). She also completely revamped the look of the vertical planners to accommodate fans requests (which is totally awesome of her to listen to her customers!)
So, prepare for some heavily loaded, picture talking ^__^
When you first open the planner, the rose gold planner has a gorgeous sheet of velum over the cover page & the velum has beautiful rose gold foiling/embossing. It is absolutely gorgeous, all the small details. Changing the cover page to a white, simple cover page versus the black with confetti all over it looks more professional & stream line than with the old version. & the pages following have changed too (as seen above).
After the beginning pages, you get into the calender section! Well.. the start of each month, I should say.
Erin has even changed the way the Year at a Glance looks on both versions (the 2016 planner is on the left). She has also added a monthly goal sheet as the next set of pages after the Year at a Glance in the Rose Gold 2016 planner.. I am not sure if the other 2016 planners will have these goal sheets but this is such a good idea.

The cover sheets/dividers for the months have changed too. I love how they have a note sheet before each divider for monthly notes as well as sayings on every divider. Such a neat little touch.

Erin has also changed the way the Calenders are done too. On the older style Life Planners, at the top of the right calender page was always a quote, in 2016 they have removed this quote giving you room for whatever you want to put there. They have also changed the calender side bar - but not by much. In the 2015 edition, it said NOTES & in the 2016 edition it now says GOALS & has cute little bubbles around it (that I know some people find annoying in the weekly layouts).

This is perhaps the biggest change in the ECLP line - they have removed the morning, day, & night headers, removed the monthly view, the words at the bottom, those decorative bubbles, & got rid of the section header that says Weekly Goals & Notes on the side bar. I know a lot of people are happy about this change.. I am unaffected because I covered everything with stickers from my shop anyway. They also adjusted the color scheme for 2016 too. I can take or leave the color change - it doesnt bother me one way or the other.
In the back of every ECLP are stickers & a heavy cardstock laminated pocket with their perpetual calender (which is a little booklet with a page for each month & dated lines to write down important yearly dates - anniversaries, birthdays, etc) In comparison to last year, they made the colors brighter - yet muted?? - & more professional looking than in the prior planners. The preprinted stickers have changed in colors & can we just take a moment to admire this cute like VOTE! sticker?? I am not sure how the vote sticker is going to work in the international orders since it looks like an American flag.
The extra goodies that come in the new planners is totally awesome! They come with referral cards - yah know, for if youre on the go & someone compliments your planner. That is such a neat idea considering not everyone is going to remember their referral code if someone wants it & if its a stranger, I doubt strangers are going to give you their email address so you can email them the referral link. Smart thinking, EC. They also included a sample sheet of their Do it All Dots which are cute but I think I will be sticking with using my favorite Etsy shops for these little guys. They also included a sample of the coil clip (the little plastic sticky thing that you can attach extras into your planner with). This is great for the project I plan on doing with all the kids VBS gear.
& now for the reason why this post is called The Metal Dilemma. I ordered the Rose Gold edition because I am in lalalalove with anything rose gold & even though my current EC lasts until the first week of January 2016 I ordered, I had to jump the gun & purchase this planner because Erin made the announcement that these bad boys were going away the very weekend I was ordering. Of course, I order & then a few days later they announce theyll be around until September... welp... crap.
So I waited... ooooh... maybe 2 weeks or so for this elusive planner to reach my grubby little paws. The box was a gorgeous damask pink & white & just everything I hoped it would be! Until I opened it. Sort of. When I opened it, I saw the usual tissue wrapping & product packaging which made me happy to see. Then I cast my eyes upon my one-of-a-kind TARDIS INTERCHANGABLE COVER that I custom designed & ordered & my beautiful Rose Gold planner. Upon inspection, I had noticed that the coating on the coil had all ready begun to tarnish & come off the coil! Slightly annoyed & upset (because I wouldnt even be using this planner for another six months!), I have contacted customer service & await a response. I really hope they can tell me what to do to fix this problem. If I had all ready used this planner & handled it enough for the coil to start tarnishing I wouldnt be so miffed but I handled this for maybe 5 minutes just for product photos.

Welcome back to another Plan with Me blog post. I will be resuming normal Plan with Me recordings this coming Sunday since I have a brand new tripod & can film when everyone is asleep. It is a total win-win. So for the time being, this is my Plan with Me blog post.
You are currently looking at this current week; 8-14 June 2015. The washi tape at the bottom came from Hobby Lobby, the kawaii filming, editing, & upload, target bullseye, blue grocery cart, & kawaii blue credit card stickers came from Sweet Kawaii Designs on Etsy; the moving boxes, postal envelope (at the top on Tuesday), & the dark blue heart are from JuJu All Over on Etsy; & the pink clipboard, yellow scallop to-do header, yellow fork & knife circle, blue heart envelope, & yellow half box are all from KGPlanneron Etsy. Here is the first half of the week before any filling in with things that ACTUALLY happened. Just things that I need to get done, notes, etc. My weeks arent going to be as cramped as usual since it is the summer & I am still settling in at home. My main concern until things get settled is getting my room situation figured out (my grandma is moving out of my parents home because doing the steps every day hurts her)... which we have no idea when that will be but should be soon! & I also need to figure out the schooling situation with my kiddos.
& this is the second half of the week... fairly empty on the personal side & my main priority towards the end of the week is pumping out videos & getting back on track with posting. Sounds like a good idea, but lets see how far that actually goes. hahaha. I love how these kawaii stickers look in my planner & highly recommend the planner shops I mentioned above. Shipping was super fast & the quality is amazing. The pen I used to write on these was a cheapy black gel pen from Target... I just cant believe how well it stayed without smudging!

So far, I am loving this planner & probably will order the newer one but we will see. Welcome back, cupcakes! Usually I do my Plan with Me's via my YouTube channel, but with my pending move & so much to do before I actually uproot my kids & I to New Jersey to live with my parents, I dont have much time to sit, record, edit, & post. Hopefully once I move out there, I will be able to get back into my routine & maybe even have a better recording set up. We will see.
So lets hop into this weeks planning sesh!
This week in my Erin Condren we are on the week of May 25-31 & I am using the Mario Decorating Kit from KG Planner on Etsy. I had placed a recent order with KG & these were the stickers my kiddos said I should decorate this week with... so I went with it. All the stickers you see on this spread are from KG, except the blog/conversation bubble & IG icons (which are from my shop) & the little dog stickers are from Hobby Lobby (...or maybe Michaels?)
As you can see, there is really not much placed into my planner at the moment just for the simple fact that I am not entirely sure what this week holds in store for me & my brood. I do have my little to do list on a cute clipboard (again, from KG) for Monday, as well as a bright reminder to give Bella the remainder of her medication. Other than that... life (at this point) seems pretty boring at this point.
On Monday, I need to call Aarons (my leasing company for my washer & dryer) to see if they can come out either that day or early on Tuesday to install a "moving package" onto my washer so the moving company can move my w&d to Cali with my husband. Not even entirely sure what that is but apparently, without it, the movers will not take my set &/or I need to pay them $150 to install it... nice of them to tell us this NOW instead of when we set up the appointment to have the military move us a month ago.
Also need to make sure laundry is finished on Monday since they are taking the washer & dryer on Tuesday (although, I suppose whatever isnt finished I can always take to the laundromat...). Then there is packing the office (& cleaning it, even if it is not on the list... it is kinda self explanatory with the "pack the office" bit), pack my stock pile room (figure out what is going to Cali with my husband & what is coming with me to NJ), & pick up more packing boxes from dollar general... lets see if I actually get anything done. Then I also need to finish up the last of my orders before vacation mode hit so I can mail them on Tuesday.
Tuesday I need to give Bella (like I said) her remaining round of medication, go to my old job (man, I miss the clinic all ready), pay my final bill & get Bellas rabies tag that I forgot to get over the weekend, husband needs to call Aamco in regards to his trucks transmission, & the movers will be here between 08 & 11 to start packing.
Aside from continuing to pack what I am taking to NJ with me, there is nothing much going on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. I do have some things I need to post to the blog, youtube (my vlogs), & Instagram periodically throughout the week. Husband gets paid Friday, we have an appointment with U-Haul to have a trailer hitch installed on my car Saturday morning, pick up the trailer as well, & then load the trailer sometime Saturday & Sunday... I also am planning on a going away bonfire on Saturday, & sometime over the weekend our landlord is doing the final walk through... I guess I should go write those in so I dont forget, huh?
