Mani Monday: spring tips & stripes

This weeks mani has come from an inspiring friends post I saw sometime last week. Here's her original post:

So gorgeous! Teal, white & black stripes adorned with a pink heart... Swooooon.  Her nails always look great. I told her I was going to steal her idea so I did!

My teal is a bit darker than hers & my stripes are going a different way but it's on, I still love it. :D

On all my fingers {except my ring finger} is Wet n Wild MegaLast in Tahitian Pearl. My ring finger is Sinful Colors  in Snow Me White with Wet n Wild Wild Shine in Black Creme stripes & a heart in Nicole by OPI in Spring Break.

Undies & Top coat are Revlon multicare base+top coat.

What are on your nails this week? I'm excited about all these brights & pastels starting to spew all over the stores. I can't wait to pick a few up.

Happy Earth Day + belated Mani Monday

Welcome to a beautiful Tuesday morning! & let's top off this beautiful weather with that it's EARTH DAY! Mother Nature must be in a good mood because it's going to be in the 80s today in Oklahoma. (: Now, in celebration of Earth Day I moved "Mani Monday" to today (wait what?! What is this madness?!) & chose a lovely, soft pea green to adorn my tips today.

Today's color is "Stranger Tides" by OPI. I think this color was from their Pirates of the Caribbean collection but I'm not entirely sure since I got it on clearance at ULTA a looooooooooong time ago. I think this soft, dusty green is perfect to honor our Mother Earth as well as being the perfect transition from this bipolar fall-to-spring-back to winter-back to spring & summer weather.

I had to do 3 coats, although I could've gotten away with just /, my kiddos kept bumping into my arm making the coat all streaky. One coat is quite sheer & actually makes it look like your nails have some sort of fungal coat. 😆 two coats is an ok opacity but I think adding the third was perfect!

What are on your tips today & what do you plan on doing to celebrate Earth Day?
